“The East African Revival which started in Uganda came to my Nation Kenya Between the year 1940 to1950.
\nOne of the places the Revival fire started was my local church called Africa Inland Mission (A.I.M) during that time now it is known as Africa Inland Church) after the missionaries left.
\nOur first born sister Martha now late was in that Revival Movement in my local church.
\nShe used to tell me how God’s power would come upon people in the service while they were worshipping and people would go in tongues others would start crying repenting their sins.
\nOther times the Holy spirit would command them to travel on foot long distances at night crying going to ask forgiveness to the people they had wronged. They were not afraid of darkness and God protected them miraculously.
\nAccording to my sister many people got afraid of this move of God.
\nDue to lack of teachings about the spiritual gifts and the Baptism of the Holy Spirit because this was a religious church. Many church leaders started to oppose the move and with time the Revival diminished.
\nMy sister before she died was a church elder in A.I.C, she used to ask me , where did that move of God go? I would try to explain it is because the church Leadership queched.”
